Where is the best salon to get a haircut?

I live in Orland Park ( Illinois) and i want a hair cut that is easy to style straight. I am also only 13 and have to pay for it by myself.Where is the best salon to get a haircut?
I am against paying a lot of money to get my hair done and actually usually cut it myself, but I recently went to an Aveda salon (they have different names per different city but they're owned by the same people and have the same methods). It cost me $40 (the price goes up from $40 as the stylist has most experience with the company). The great thing about the salon, though, was included in the price, you get a neck/shoulders/scalp massage, shampoo/condition, cut, and style. A lot of places charge extra from shamppo/condition and style, plus you don't get the massage elsewhere.

The price is fairly reasonable if you have the money. It's definitely an experience even if you're only 13. Regardless, I would suggest that you NOT go anywhere that looks really cheap, because they may not do a good job. If there are any beauty schools around, you may want to look into going there. They are cheap (usually less than $10) and the people are learning, but they do have experienced teachers working directly with them when you go to have your hair cut.

  • What should I do to my hair at the hair salon ?

I will be going to the hair salon on Sunday with my cousin. She will be getting her hair permed but my hair is naturally curly thick and long and it's soft so it's easy to straighten. I don't want to perm it I just wanna figure out what kind of hairstyle should I go for at the salon.

If you can please provide links to pictures of hairstyles. What should I do to my hair at the hair salon ?
Just get it cut in layers. If your hair is already curly, you wouldn't get a perm.

How badly can a salon damage your hair if your getting it dyed?

If they bleach it, will my hair turn rough? I have asian-like hair, it's pretty soft and not frizzy. How badly will it damage my hair?

    It's my first time, btw.

I'm freaking out about either if I should just get it done myself or go to a salon and get it done. How badly can a salon damage your hair if your getting it dyed?
    Go to the salon

They understand the bleaching process better than you.

Your chances of screwing up your hair is much greater if you do it yourself as opposed to get it done professionallyHow badly can a salon damage your hair if your getting it dyed?
If you can afford the salon, go there. They won't damage your hair as much as you could damage it by doing it yourself. But 2 things you have going for you is that you have never dyed your hair and you have asian hair. Asian hair is very strong and can usually handle more. The more you dye your hair, the worse it gets, so don't over do it. and bleaching your hair damages it more than just simply dying it.

You can also ask your stylist about a deep conditioning treatment that is usually done like a day before you dye it and that usually helps prevent damage. But Like I said, with virgin asian hair, you should be just fine as long as you don't dye it a million times.
I use Preference by Loreal and I never have any problems with it, I color my hair every 3 months with it. My hair looks great.
Hey.. I had same concern like yours . I found best answer by searching at below site.

What are my chances of catching something from the nail salon?

Today when I was getting a fill at the nail salon - the guy drilled me and it bled. He sprayed it with alcohol and it is now bandaged, I know there are tons of things you can catch - but what are the chances that I really did get something? I am all freaked out now. What are my chances of catching something from the nail salon?
    Not very high

The alchohol killed all bacteria on the puncture the bandage is keeping them out.

Also Nail solons Tattoo parlors, places that perform peircings

must sterilize there tools before each new clientWhat are my chances of catching something from the nail salon?
Well it depends how clean the salon is - did you see any disinfection carried out on the tools?

If the tools/drill are disinfected between clients, you should be fine. If not...well...you may pick up an infection. It's extremely rare though to catch things through cross contamination in a salon. You could always get yourself checked out at the doctors.

Drills are always a bit hit and miss, I know of well trained nail techs who use drills with no problems, but then there are nail techs who have no training at all, who just carve up nails without giving a damn.

Always go to a clean, reputable salon, if in doubt, ASK TO SEE THEIR CERTIFICATES.
What Caleb and Lillylol said is true.

You just have to be sure the salon you pick really lives up to the health codes.

It only takes one person, one time to pass something on to you.
Chances are quite high if the salon isn't clean.

What are the disinfecting procedures for tanning beds in a salon?

After each client they place a little sign on the bed that says, ';This bed has been sanitized';. So what exactly does that mean? According to cosmetology, sanitization is basicly just the ';soap and water'; stage. Soap and water doesn't kill bloodborne pathogens such as HIV or Hepititis. Wouldn't they have to disinfect, as well? Does anyone know what they use? What are the disinfecting procedures for tanning beds in a salon?
They use special disinfecting/sanitizing cleaners formulated for the tanning beds. They typically contain chloride and other cleaning agents.

Why does the tanning salon make your skin so clear?

I am trying not to tan, but I sure miss the clear skin. Why does it make it so clear? Any other suggestions? I've tried all the skin treatment over the counter. Why does the tanning salon make your skin so clear?
Okay...we have lots to talk about!

First off, Im assuming you're talking about acne? Tanning helps clear up the skin because the heat destroys the bacteria under the skin that leads to breakouts. Tanning in the long run is very unhealthy, as you know. It leads to premature aging, possible skin cancer, etc.

Other more healthy alternatives that I personally endorse are:

1.) Zeno...is a relatively new product that uses a certain temperature to kill the bacteria under the skin upon the first sign of a pimple....very effective. I bought one at Walgreens for $150 and it has been very helpful. Also it offers a 30 day money back guarantee, so you have nothing to lose!

2.) A laser procedure specifically for acne called IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) is a treatment that lasts about 3 minutes and it uses a wand that zaps acne causing bacteria under the skin. This procedure completely saved my life and self-esteem! Most Dermatologists perform this and now spas are doing it too. Its becoming very popular. Depending upon your health insurance, they may even cover it...mine did.

I highly suggest looking into both of these and do not waste your time or money on all the other junk out there!

I really wish you lots of luck!

What's the best salon shampoo for alot of volume and shine?

I'm tired of using drugstore shampoos, they just make my hair dry and frizzy. I really want to try a salon quality shampoo to get alot of volume and shine. I want to try the Joico line, but I'm still not sure. What is the best shampoo out there? What's the best salon shampoo for alot of volume and shine?
This believe it or not is an excellent question and not easily answered.

Everyone's hair reacts to products differently...all salon volumizing shampoo's have panthenol in it but it is the other factors that may or may not work in your hair.

So plan on playing a little bit. Call some salons and ask them how much for a shampoo and blow dry. Ask them to use a volumizing shampoo, conditioner and shine agent.

All of the major salon lines have volumizing lines. I am particular to Paul Mitchell's extra body line...but that is what I found works on my hair the best. for you it could be Joico or Redken. However Paul Mitchell has this Thicken up serum that you can put in your hair after it is washed that adds more panthenol in it and gives it trememous shine.

Have fun! What's the best salon shampoo for alot of volume and shine?
    Hey,

I don't know about salon shampoos, but treseme seems to match your description?

I use loreal elvive which is really great. Its not a salon shampoo, but it does give your hair alot of shine and strength!

Also, i would recommend using 'shockwaves' style and body mousse. You apply this just after you have washed your hair, and then dry it thoroughly...it works really great for shine AND volume. Also, if you blow dry your hair be sure to use a heat protector (i would recommend 'paul mitchell heat seal', this should protect your hair, and deal with the issue of dry hair.

If you use a blowdryer, for added volume dry your hair upside down, and if you use a straightener, straighten your hair upside down...This is an alternative to teasing your hair, and using hairspray (which can do alot of damage to your hair)...Also, to prevent frizziness use Paul Mitchell 'super skinny serum'...It is really good AND acts extra shine. I am sure that paul mitchell do shampoo so it might be worth taking a look at. You could also ask your hairdresser for advice?

Good Luck, and i hope i helped

    Karishma
Nexxus is definetly the best. I have tried everything you can imagine. I love the smell and it works very very well in making hair soft and shiny. Definetly worth the price.
Redken volumizing shampoo and conditioner. they also make something called guts-10 that is an added volumizer.

    i love redken...and it's very high quality

How long would I Have to go to a tanning salon before I get a noticable tan?

Ive been working this summer and haven't gotten a chance to get a tan, so i was thinking of going to a salon before school starts. I don't know too much about tanning so about how long and often would I have to go to the salon before I get a noticeable summer tan? I tan pretty easily although I am pretty pale at the moment. How long would I Have to go to a tanning salon before I get a noticable tan?
i got tan about a wk after going.i went like 5 times that wk.

for 10 minutes at each time.

and you move up so to maintain ur tan each wk you would only needa go once at a 20 min session %26lt;- thats what i do now %26amp; boyyy am i tan :]How long would I Have to go to a tanning salon before I get a noticable tan?
It all depends on your skin type. They say it takes three sessions before you notice any difference. Make sure you use a tanning lotion and that will accelerate your tan as well.
I would suggest about 5 days if you go day after. However do not go for long periods at first especially since you say your pale, you may burn.
just spend the night in the tanning bed you will be tan by AM.

I have a beauty salon and want to put a 2 part epoxy over my vinyl floor without removing the exiting floor?

would I be able to clean the 2 part epoxy with a buffer?I have a beauty salon and want to put a 2 part epoxy over my vinyl floor without removing the exiting floor?
As this is a proprietary product you need advice from the manufacturer. Some are designed as underlayers and aren't very attractive. Others are intended to be laid as final finish.I have a beauty salon and want to put a 2 part epoxy over my vinyl floor without removing the exiting floor?
ya the other guy is right, but to add something - im thinkin your wanting to resurface the whole floor probley thick enough to call it the final finish- if thats true - well alot of these are not to attractive by themselves- but if you apply one that allows you to do so- add alittle colorant to the mix (kinda expensive) they do look better, and if you are wanting to be able to clean it up and buff it out once in a while most can be sealed with a sealer to add a shiny finish (looks alot better). With a few layers of sealer- it can be buffed out regularly, usually without the sealer they have a dull finish (kinda like concrete) and buffing wont do anything except ruin your buffer. 2 hints- make sure you buy and spread alot of the epoxy- enough to cover a half inch think cause it sometimes breaks and flakes off if thinner- especially on a older and unlevel floor. also the more the sealer- the better the finish.

  • Who is more easily hired to work in a beauty salon?

I was wondering is it easier for a manicurist/pedicurist or a facialist to find a job in a beauty salon? Which one makes better money?Who is more easily hired to work in a beauty salon?
Personally, I think you are looking at it all wrong. From what I am reading, it seems as though you will choose whichever is more profitable. You will not be doing the beauty industry - or yourself, any favors by doing this. The most successful people in the beauty industry are in it because they love what they do. The ones who go into any field for nothing other than financial gain tend to be miserable, and very unhappy with their work. Don't pick one career over another simply because your earning potential is greater. Instead, pick a career that you will enjoy doing. It will not only give you more job satisfaction in the long run, but it will also benefit the beauty industry as well. Even more than that, your potential future clients will gain from your being in the job because you love what you are doing. Do it just for the money, and they are the ones who lose. Its usually quite evident if a person really loves what they do, or not. If you aren't happy with your work, and do not show enthusiasm each and every day, then don't plan on making much money in either because you won't have many clients wanting services from you. Its as simple as that. Sure, you might get some here and there, but when they sense that you aren't really happy with your work, they'll just find someone who is and give their business to them instead. Just something to think about...Who is more easily hired to work in a beauty salon?
More women get mani/pedis than facials, so my money's on the manicurist.
i think it;s a market for all but it depends on the quality of the salon and also the city or town you are in and locations are the best way to decide. look at the quality of the neighboorhood your working in. i'd try something upscale where the money is.
it depends on the city and the salon. not all salons offer all services. a lot of estheticians (who do facials) work in spas instead of salons. a hair dresser obviously has an easier way in to a salon, and possibly a nail tech in most areas.
The art of a facial is very difficult to master. However, if you do, you will make more money as a facialist than as a manicurist or pedicurist.

A good facialist is very difficult to find, most spa goers will tip their facialist appreciatively because of this.

Manicurists and pedicurists are very common. It may be easy to find a job, but you will not make as much in tips as a facialist.

    Hope this helps!
Do both. With proper organization you could scedule apointments for both if the salon you are working in could accomodate you.

How can i get tan without going to the tanning salon?

I really need a tan! How can i do it without going to the tanning salon and getting sun burnt? How can i get tan without going to the tanning salon?
Go outside and let the sun radiate on your skin for short periods of time every day. You will acquire a warm glow without doing irreversible damage to your skin like you get at tanning salons and extreme exposure to the sun.

Do you know the harmful effects of dying your skin?

A long lasting dye is derived from black walnut husks. It will last for months and months. How can i get tan without going to the tanning salon?
Spray tans, but they are expensive and they start to wear off after 7 days and it starts to make splotches all over (looks gross). You can do self tanners but majority of then make you look orange and they start to leave splotches also. I go to the tanning salon and wear a really light sun block, it works nothing over 5% sunblock. My skin got use to the tanning after 5 days, when I go in without sunblock I only do 7 minutes, after about a week I was pretty dark. I pay more for the most powerful tanning bed, because it works faster and it doesn't make me burn.
If you live in a state or place that isn't very sunny

especially during February then you should go to

    your local store(e.g. walmart,target,CVS,Wallgreens)

you can buy some lotions that enhance your natural

    tan. like nuetrogena!
Low spf sunscreen and go outside or blacklight or snow.
put spf whatever and lay outside if theres no sun get a spray on tan or get body wash that you use in the shower and it gives you a little more color every time you use it:)

    SURE HOPE THIS HELPS:)
Take me seriously on this. The only way to get a good tan is to go into the water. I know, but you have to go in and move. You get the most sun like that.
go to the beach, use bronzer, and wear tank tops to let the sun soak in! You can use tanning body wash. Most of all just lay out in the sun.
well you could invest in expensice fake tan, it wlould have to be expensive though, cheap ones never work.

    Good luck hun x

the hairdresser always put alot of effort in our hair..like they blow dry it and straighten it properly...and we jus cant be assed at hme n quickly jus go over with a straightening iron...

so the best way u could achieve the salon look is...by spending sum time on ur hair and using good hair product brands

What do you look for when using a tanning salon?

I am in the process of opening my own tanning salon and any opinions would be appreciated. I want to be able to provide the best services possible. Thank you. What do you look for when using a tanning salon?
I like a colorful atmosphere, clean lobby and tanning rooms/beds, a few different selections for types of beds, and a good amount of beds...at least 6-10. The Mystic Tan has also become quite popular, so it might be a good idea to have one of those too. I also like good prices on tanning lotions, and a good range of lotion brands and types. An extra fan in the room (besides the one that's with the tanning bed) is also great. A radio in each room, or speakers in each room connected to one radio are also nice. And it's helpful to have a chair (even if plastic) in each room, to lay your purse and clothes on while you tan. A trash can in each room is also good, for people that buy samples, so they can just trash the empty packette before leaving. It's also a good idea to keep a bottle of the spray cleaner in each room, because I prefer to clean the bed myself before I use it, just in case someone before me forgot to do that. And towels in each room, to go along with the cleaner. You can also offer loaner eyewear, though I am the type that prefers to use their own...it just feels more sanitary to me.

What is it like to go to the beauty salon and get a full set of nails for the first time?

well i work at one. so you go in and they ask you if you want acrylic or gels. i would choose gels. they last longer and look better. then they start to perform a regular manicure, but rather than just puting polish on they cut all your nails off ( for the fake nails to be put on) then unpolish your nails (buff) them and apply the nails. now its not over yet. afterwards they put on a gel coat which need to be stuck under a uv machine to dry quickly. there are many layers put on to ensure the nails durabilty. afterwards its given one topcoat as sort of a ';stain'; to keep it shiny and protect the gel underneath. its also put under the uv machine to let dry. but be careful it still may be sticky. (btw some people can get a french or color, they would add it after the gel has dryed)

Depends, if you go somewhere Asian (not being racist) but SCARY. they talk in a different language, slap your hands, and are just kind of mean...lol. where i went they shouted at me when i couldnt find the sink with no directions, made my fingers bleed, and slapped my fingers down, whilst talking to eachother laughing at something, and the nails didnt even last very long. :(
Diana's answer EXACTLY. It hurts a little for the first few days, but you HAVE to fall in love with them! They, in a weird way, seem to eliminate the imperfections of fingers... if that makes sense.

But if you don't have them push your cuticles up, it is horrible.
Unless you have a lot of money, don't get this started. You have to pay to keep it up and they take your natural nails down really thin. It is not healthy for your nails.

well i work at one. so you go in and they ask you if you want acrylic or gels. i would choose gels. they last longer and look better. then they start to perform a regular manicure, but rather than just puting polish on they cut all your nails off ( for the fake nails to be put on) then unpolish your nails (buff) them and apply the nails. now its not over yet. afterwards they put on a gel coat which need to be stuck under a uv machine to dry quickly. there are many layers put on to ensure the nails durabilty. afterwards its given one topcoat as sort of a ';stain'; to keep it shiny and protect the gel underneath. its also put under the uv machine to let dry. but be careful it still may be sticky. (btw some people can get a french or color, they would add it after the gel has dryed)

this is a pretty rough explanation, but go try it out. my shop is called Pretty Nails in Raleigh NC if you are ever there. good luck. What is it like to go to the beauty salon and get a full set of nails for the first time?

I THINK ITS DIFFERENT FOR EVERONE CUZ WITH ME I WAS LIKE 12 AND MY NAILS FELT REALLY HOT AND A LITTLE SORE AND I HIT A LOT OF THINGS LIKE WITH THE NAILS BUT IDK IT MIGHT BE DIFFERENT MAKE SURE THEY PUSH UP YOUR CUTICALS
for me it si very relaxing

but they will be sore after

    the first time

What are the conditions for working at a tanning salon?

okay, so I'm planning on applying for a job at Hollywood Tans, but i wanted to know if I had to have specific training in my past to be able to do this.. like some places I know require a license or being in cosmetology in a Vo-Tech highschool. My question is -- can just anyone apply %26amp; work there? What are the conditions for working at a tanning salon?
Some people I know have worked there while in college without any certification. If you do need it where you live, however, I'm sure you can still be hired and then they'll take the necessary steps to get you certified to work for them. Many companies are like this when you just need a simple license or certificate. What are the conditions for working at a tanning salon?
usually, you don't need certification...i worked at a family-owned tanning salon, and they took me to get certified with Abate, but i know people who just applied to hollywood and worked there..

What is best for coloring hair- going to the salon or a home kit?

I have dark brown long hair with layers. It is also naturally curly and a little coarse in texture. I started getting a few gray hairs along my part and on my bottom layers. You can see the gray hair more when I pull it up in a ponytail. I have gotten my hair highlighted in the past and it really made my hair unhealthy. I have also colored it in the past and the kit I used really didn't cover up the few gray hairs I have. It was nice and easy. What is the best thing to do for my hair type? Any suggestions? What is best for coloring hair- going to the salon or a home kit?
I prefer to dye my own hair because I have ultimate control over the colour, but if you have never dyed your hair before I don't suggest it. You have to understand colour, what strength developer to use and you also have to be comfortable with the application (technique) which can be difficult.

If you would be interested in dyeing your own hair you should go to a beauty supply store and read the bottles! You can pick out the colour and the level of developer you want but be sure to read those bottles too! And ask questions- hopefully the employees would be able to give you some helpful advise. When you apply it it helps to have a friend make sure you're getting even coverage. What is best for coloring hair- going to the salon or a home kit?
a salon is always the better choice if you can afford it.

B/c some colors have diff. bases that might not work right w/you hair and not being a hair styleist you would not know of this and thats why some ppl get their hair messed up from home dying kits.

go to the salon.. box colors aren't the best to use
I have that problem also i have tried the do it at home thing, it works sometimes others not at all. I refuse to pay full price for the salon that will just grow out in 3 months then have to spend the money again. My suggestion Go to a beauty school look in your local phone book for beauty schools they are VERY reasonable and honestly most of the time even do a better job because they are being graded and the professionals that are teaching them come and make sure everything is going right the whole way through so you are HAPPY with what you paid for. Trust me since I found this place I no longer try the do it myself way it saves time and is probably only about 5 more dollars than doing it yourself. Look into it I think you will be very happy.

What do you think is more profitable a hair salon or a daycare center?

If anyone had experience in these 2 businesses. I would like to hear your opinion. What do you think is more profitable a hair salon or a daycare center?
Being a Mom I would say a Day Care center, seeing as how much they charge! However you have to have a certain care giver to child ratio and all of these things to stay within the state's regulations, plus you have to pay for building, electric, water.

Hair salon, you have to pay for building, electric, water, plus the hair stylists. i am guessing that if it is in your name only you pay all the bills, but if all the stylists share in bills it could be cheaper for the self. however you have to have people that know what they are doing.

Is a beauty salon considered a non profit organization when it comes to community service?

A beauty salon is a for profit business. It is considered private sector. They are not tax exempt and receive no grant money. Even if they make donations they are still a for profit business. Is a beauty salon considered a non profit organization when it comes to community service?
Whether a business is or is not a nonprofit organization depends on the articles of incorporation. Many for profit companies do some community service work, i.e. pro bono, For example, a beauty salon may take its employees to a nursing home to cut hair for the residents for free, but they are still incorporated and operated as a for profit company. Is a beauty salon considered a non profit organization when it comes to community service?
The beauty salon can claim charity deductions if it participated in community service, but more than likely, the salon applied for a business license. There for it is a business entity and is in business for profit.
You can go to a nursing home or state hospital and volunteer to give the residents or patients beauty services, as community service. But you'd have to be licensed.
No, because the money they make goes into the business.
    heck no

How do you get highligths without going to a salon or buying dye?

What should I do if I don't want to spend money on that? How do you get highligths without going to a salon or buying dye?
Lemon juice and sunlight i suppose... that gives a very subtle, natural result. I recommend against buying dye... it's only like $10 for a highlighting kit, but the mess you could potentially make with it will cost you $200 to fix in a salon. How do you get highligths without going to a salon or buying dye?
Spend a lot of time outdoors in on sunny days. Other than that, you can try Sun-In with a blow dryer. It creates subtle highlights, but if you don't have any money to spend on stuff for your hair, then the first option would be the best.
get over it...what kind of stupid question is that?

how do i dye my hair without dyeing it.
lemon juice and sunlight, or UV rays.

Don't buy lemonade, buy the actual lemon juice you use that comes in a glass jar used to MAKE the lemonade.
If you do any of these.....and if your hair is brown...or dark blonde....you will end up with orange hair. Since you do not want to spend the money....then just wait until summer and stay outside and let the sun do it naturally.
If you have dark hair this will not work, but try lemon juice and the sun. If you have dark hair, the water that potatoes are boiled in (with the potatoes removed and the water cooled) put on hair will make it really shiny, which may look like highlights. Note that the water will also stain the skin, so be very careful if you choose to do this. Overall though, if you really want hightlights I recomend getting them done proffesionally as it will look the best.
never use sun-in... everyone i know who has used it fried their hair!
real lemon juice and sun light
umm... well there's no such thing... and if u don't go to a salon or bye dye....there's no way...
spray lemon juice or chamomile tea into your hair and sit in the sun for a couple hours as many times a week as you can for two weeks. It should bring out highlights. Also, if you're brunnette, you can buy a shampoo and conditioner for blondes (or whatever color you want) and it will bring out your natural highlights. ;)
You can use a product called Sun In. It gradually lightens your hair with either the sun or you can spray it on and blow dry.
you can dye your hair with kool aid.

otherwise just dye it at the salon or buying products at drugstores.
    Hydrogen peroxide

How much is a good tip to give a salon for a harcut that costs $65?

I am going to a salon instead of a regular haircut, and its $65. Im assuming theser people are very good at what they do. How much is a good tip to start a realtionship with a new stylist? How much is a good tip to give a salon for a harcut that costs $65?
how about 20 dollars? that's enough for them to take a nice lunch break and even buy dessert. hope your hair looks good!

:)How much is a good tip to give a salon for a harcut that costs $65?
Well, they say 15% in general, but that's for restaurants. Probably 15% or 20%.
0 THAT IS EXPENSIVE FOR A CUT. THEY ARE ALREADY GETTING ENOUGH.
fifteen to twenty percent... and for the girl up there hair stylists only make commission off of that, the salon gets most of the money form it
Well, I will say 10% but getting a haircut for $65 it's a rip off. Lol, I only pay $25 for a wash, rollers (yeap cuz my hair is naturally curly) and then blow dry straight. You don't start your relationship with a stylist the first time she cuts your hair... yes it is true that she can give you an amazing haircut, but the question is how good are her hands? A person with good hands for cutting is when some cuts a hair and it then the hair doesn't have any problem to grow back. If you get a hair cut and your hair grows fast, then you have an stylist that knows how to manage your hair. Trust me when I tell you this I have two aunts that are stylist one I call ';edward's scissor hands'; and the other one... I just stay away from her.
$65 for a haircut??? That is just ridiculous. A haircut for $65?? *shakes head*.
    thats a rip off
With a 15% tip you would have to add $9.75 to that and it would come out to $74.75

    goodluck
Find a location with a lot of very very ugly women.

';And I don't mean rough looking, I mean hideous......'; *

    * Name that song.
First get a business license, but more importantly, make sure you are a licensed cosmotologist--or whatever that term is. Make sure your employess are also appropriately licensed.

If you try taking shortcuts, you will be forced to close your business before it even opens. Make sure to have a detailed business plan AND a mentor who is familiar with the process.

yeah, spin around in chairs is usually good. you get all dizzy and you have to stop. then when you're better, you get to start all over again.

i also like to write secret messages in the magazines for future customers. that's always fun. AND you're making an impact. What do you do at a hair salon for entertainment if and when you are bored?
Read a magazine. The salon I go to has a big selection of them so there's plenty to chose from.
Maybe if you're five. And I'm assuming you're not. Got a laptop, or one of those video game thingies? Or you could be real old school and read a book!

How much does it cost to highlight hair in the salon?

Does anyone know what the charge is for hair highlights in the salon? Is it worth the price? Thanks! How much does it cost to highlight hair in the salon?
salons can be anywhere from 40-120 or so,

the place i go to colors my hair, cuts it, tones it, styles it and all that for 105.

and it is well worth it, even when i was just getting highlights and not having them bleach it all, it was still safer to have a professional do it, they can get it closer to the root than your supposed to at home, and they make it look more natural and more even. How much does it cost to highlight hair in the salon?
Usually, it depends on where you live. I live in Ohio, and if I go to a nice salon, I end up paying about $150 for a full highlight and cut. Usually, it is worth the price because you get what you pay for. When I go to the salon, I know that my stylist has been fully trained and licensed, and I know that they are using quality color and products my hair.
it depends. all over highlights are more expensive than just a few highlights on the top. and it depends on where you go. sometimes they are from $30-$80. you should call around to the hair salons near you and ask them.

I am thinking of buying a salon that rents the space to the stylists and they pay the owner a weekly rent. How does the salon owner make any money? If I'm paying rent on the actual building, utilities and all the other costs but I';m only taking in what they pay me in rent how does that work as opposed to having commissioned employees that I give 50% of their ticket? How does a salon owner make money in a chair rental type salon?
your paying $1000 a month mortgage etc you have 10 chairs rented they all pay 100 month rentHow does a salon owner make money in a chair rental type salon?
it's either that or you take a percentage of each sale from each hairdresser - So people actually do hairdressing and only get to keep 50% of their sale? that doesn't seem like a very good deal for the worker actually doing the work - maybe paying the owner 30% or something like that, plus as the owner, if you have your own customers, you keep 100% of that money
First of all look at the current owner's books and see how much money they are making. As long as your expenses are less than the rental income, and you are a hairdresser getting free space, you make money!

If you have employees that you are paying, you must deduct income tax, match the FICA, pay unemployment taxes, workmans' comp, etc. so your expenses are much higher than having independent contractors.
    for that my suggestion is

Just moved here, need a place to get my nails done. Looking for quality and environmentally friendly products. What is the best nail salon in the Portland, Oregon area?
I have been going to Capitol Nails for a few years now and refuse to go anywhere else. I have not a clue about how eco-friendly their products are, but they are top-notch in quality and cleanliness, and care to do the job right. My favorite tech there is Duong, his sister-in-law Amy is also excellent. I have never made an appointment there, yet I can almost always sit right down and get started without having to wait. Whether you choose to try Capitol or a different salon though, I recommend going with an Asian salon. If you have fake nails they use a drill which you may know gives the cleanest, smoothest finish you can get.

I would call and check the hours bc I don't think the hours listed in Google are correct. Also, Mondays are to be avoided as that is their busiest day.

Is it true that hair salon scissors have a self sharpening blade that does not need sharpening?

I am going to open a business of sharpening blades. My partner has done this like 15 years ago. I have been doing the market analysis to see if there is market to our service. I've been told that although clippers need to be sharpened, the hair salon scissors do not. My partner insists they can be sharpened. What do you know about this? Thanks! Is it true that hair salon scissors have a self sharpening blade that does not need sharpening?
I have a good friend who is a hairdresser in a salon and she says that she has her shears sharpened every 90 days.

Can anyone recommend a reputable salon for brazilian waxes in Honolulu?

My girlfriends and I live in Honolulu and have been wanting to try Brazilian waxes. However, none of us know of any reputable salons who offer this service.

So, can anyone recommend any reputable salon on Oahu (preferably in or near downtown)?

How to lighten your hair without using bleaching, dying or doing anything salon-related to it?

I have dirty blonde hair and I want it lighter, is there anyway you can do that without going to the salon to dye ie, bleach it or anything. Maybe an at home remedy? How to lighten your hair without using bleaching, dying or doing anything salon-related to it?
    Cosmetologist/Instructor of 25 years here!!

Ok...no matter what anyone says..do not touch sun-in. This is the worst stuff ever. It is very damaging and we as stylists are taught to never do any chemical service on hair that sun in has been used on!!

It has metallic salt dye in it which causes the hair to melt when another chemical is introduced. Not good.

Lots of sun is good. This is 100% natural and you get a lot of benefits from the sun.

Lemon juice is okay to close the cuticle on the hair...but not for lightening. It can be drying on the hair if you do this a lot.

You could always go and have a few foils put in at the crown area that will punch up your color.

I hope my answer is helpful to you and good luck!!How to lighten your hair without using bleaching, dying or doing anything salon-related to it?
You can get something called Sun-In that can be found in the hair dye section. You just spray it in and then go out in the sun. You can also get an at home highlighting kit such as Loreal Hi-Light stylist, Clairol nice and easy shade on shade, Loreal frost and design kit, etc. There's quite a few of them out there They're not nearly as expensive as going to the salon, just follow the instructions carefully and have a friend help you out with the back. All of these can be found at Walmart, Target, drugstores.
Lemon juice. Mix 1 part to 1 part (even mixture of water and lemon juice), then spritz on your hair and go outside in the sunshine. It should begin to lighten. Continue for as long as you like for the highlights or for all over just use the juice solution.

The citric acid in the juice is what does it. It's natural and it won't harm your hair or you. Just remember to moisturize.

    Good luck!
If you mean non-salon-related by not having to go to the salon or use hair-dye from a box, then you can try sun-in spray. It's not expensive and doesn't do much damage. Simply spending more time in the sun works too.
I have used this spray which is called ';sun-in'; I got it from the chemist and it is supposed to naturally bleach your hair. You just spray it in and then blow dry it and it goes lighter
Lemon juice with chamomile, go in the sun and spritz it in and it should work. Beer works as well.
Put lemon juice in your hair and go out in the sun for a bit and it should lighten. It did for mine.
    They sell a product called ';Sun-In';

You just spray some on your hair

especially if you're going to be out

in the sun alot. Do this regualary

%26amp; your hair should get lighter.
Use henna its a natraul dye that you can use right at home its powdery but just add water. There is no hair damage what so ever.
Chamomile or lemon juice in the sun, but careful because lemon juice can dry out your hair if you use it too often
    Lemon
Lemon juice and sunshine will lighten it a bit!
chamomile or hydrogen peroxide will work
    get lots of sun!!! :P
    get old and stress
lemon juice and lots of sun : )
    nope
sit in the sun a while

What percent should you tip your stylist when you go to a salon?

I know for a server it is 15-20% but I have never been told how much to tip a stylist, and I always leave feeling as if I have cheated mine. No one has been able to tell me the answer to this. What percent should you tip your stylist when you go to a salon?
I am a hair stylist and the majority of my clients tip me 15 to 20 %. Some tip more and some don't tip at all. If you want your stylist to be available to you, take care of him or her with a tip that represents your level of satisfaction. What percent should you tip your stylist when you go to a salon?
    30%
I always tip my stylist 20%. She deserves it too. She is sooo good and I sit there for 3 hours! It's a lot of work to be a stylist and I have no problem leaving a good tip. that's where they make most of their money.
I usually tip up to 30%. Usually $15 tip for a haircut and $25 for hilight.
at least 20%,but if your really happy with the results and/or your stylists has gone out of their way for you, like stayed late or sqeezed you in cauze you had an emergency, toss in some extra bucks to show your appreciation.
at least 20 percent. think about how much of their time you take up, and remember that they typically only get half of what they have charged you.

How much do you typically tip a stylist at a nice hair salon?

I'm getting my hair cut (only cut, not dyed or anything else) at a pretty nice salon. I'm wondering what is the correct amount to tip a stylist at a hair salon? How much do you typically tip a stylist at a nice hair salon?
Being a stylist myself, I would say that an expected tip should fall between 15 and 20 percent of whatever the service total comes to.How much do you typically tip a stylist at a nice hair salon?
or just a cut, a tip of $5-7 is nice. but only if u like it!!

    for coloring, try $9-13

they will still get a lot of moneyt becuase it is a nice salon, and if everyone gives them around five dollars, they will be rich!

    good lucker hope i helped
Tip as you feel is appropriate and depending on how you felt about the quality of the service. Around 拢3 or 拢4 is very acceptable.
    1) was the cut good? tips are not guaranteed, they are for a job well done. if you liked it, $5-7 is good.

    For a just a cut, $5-$8

    For coloring or highlights $10-$15

How can I find an investor for a swanky upscale dog grooming salon?

I am an experienced dog groomer in a big city thats growing everyday. There are NO upscale grooming salons and I think with all the rich people here, it would do great! What should a salon offer as part of a ';welcome to our neighborhood'; package for new local home-owners?

Should we give something away for FREE?

Should we give a % off or specific dollar amount off?

    OR

Should our offer have to do with our PRODUCTS?

I like this idea best because then they get into the salon to see our stylists in action, without having to trust the stylists with their hair just yet.

    What do you think?

What should a salon offer as part of a ';welcome to our neighborhood'; package for new local home-owners?
Go with a Product. Clients love something for free, make sure it is a product that was uses on the client. You can also offer a free conditioning treatment to new and regular clients (don't forget about them), it cost almost nothing. If you can get your products selling, it's like having another stylist (profit wise) without the hassle. Good Luck. What should a salon offer as part of a ';welcome to our neighborhood'; package for new local home-owners?
Maybe you can offer a free shampoo with a cut. Or a free blow dry. That way they are still buying from you, but you can give them something simple for free.

How can I restore the moisture in my hands withought getting a parafin dip and the salon?

I ahve disgustingly dry hands that nothing seems to work on except a hot wax dip when I'm getting a manicure at the salon. What can I do at home thats easy and garaunteed? How can I restore the moisture in my hands withought getting a parafin dip and the salon?
The other posters have made some excellent suggestions. In addition to the prescription creams or ointments drink as much water as you can everyday. Often dehydration has a role to play in dry skin and hands. How can I restore the moisture in my hands withought getting a parafin dip and the salon?
Ask your dermatologist to prescribe you Lac-Hydrin (spelling not sure). It works well on cracked dry skin.
Use a lotion that contains glycerin. Make sure it does NOT contain any oils because this will cause 'rebound' dryness that is even worse. There is a brand called Corn Huskers that works really well.
I was told that it's good to put a thick cream on while your hands are still damp EVERY time after you wash your hands or shower. I have been using L'Occitane Hand Cream for almost a year now, and it's really great. It's a little more expensive, but you can feel the difference--seriously. I think you can find it online if there isn't a store near you.

Also, the gloves trick works well, and drinking lots of water--dryness is ultimately a sign of severe dehydration.
My daughter has eczema, we use Eucerin Cream(not the lotion) and it works great!
You can buy one of those parafin dip things from Walmart or a store in the mall for less than 40$. I have one and it works great.

A good lotion is the Oil of Olay Quench, works great. Just make sure you put lotion on before going to bed as well and ';if'; you can, sleep in gloves of some sort...if not, just lotion up well.
You buy your parafin dip machine. I have one. Target, Wal-Mart. Kohl's, etc. sells them.
put a ton of hand cream on before you go to bed, put some tight gloves on and sleep with them on
You should try Lotil cream or Ahava lotion. They are both sold at Caswell Massey. The lotil cream is good if your skin is dry and cracked, it acts as a filler in the dry cracked areas and then works as a moisturizer to help heal your skin. Ahava products contain minerals from the Dead Sea. It is recommended by doctors to xczema patients to heal the dry skin. Check it out on caswellmassey.com!
You should try suave lotion it makes your hands really soft or k and k warming sensations
silicone glove hand cream from avon works great, even after washing hands you can still feel it in your skin. very moisturizing

How do you get ashy color out of your hair at home without going to a salon?

I got my hair colored a little bit darker. It is usually a lighter blonde shade. My hair stlyist used an ash color when she sliced it and now half of my hair looks like an ashy gray color. I cant afford to get it done again and dont want to damage it anymore. What should i do?How do you get ashy color out of your hair at home without going to a salon?
Krazy Hair is right. The stylist who did the color should fix your hair at no charge. Speak to the owner of the salon if necessary. I'm a stylist/colorist for 9 years and would much rather fix a color for free than lose a client! How do you get ashy color out of your hair at home without going to a salon?
get a warm tonned colour and run it through
Unless you go darker then that color you won't see any results. COLOR DOES NOT LIFT COLOR. either you bleach it(not suggested) or get a color that has a gold tone that is a shade darker then the ashy color.you cannot, I repeat you cannot go lighter because it won't lift it will just look the same.

If the salon did someting you don't like you should be able to go back and get it fixed at no cost to you. It was their mistake so it should be free. Call and ask before you attempt color on your own.(you may just have to pay the product charge, which would be the cost of a bottle of box color anyway.)
    bleach and re-dye
get a darker shade with goldtones to balance it out

How should I prepare myself before going to the salon for a pedicure?

What do they do at a pedicure, besides applying nail polish? I don't wear nail polish, so I'm going to tell them that. But, would there be a point of getting a pedicure done if I'm not getting my nails done?

    Please advise.

I'm almost 23, but doing it for the very first time.

Does a pedicure feel ticklish? How long does it last? How should I prepare myself before going to the salon for a pedicure?
Shave your legs and wear sandals that have open toes. Wear

a skirt or shorts or pants that roll up easily. The mani/pedicurist

will soak your feet in a warm bath, then she/he will trim your nails,

work on your cuticles and buff off your callouses on the bottom of your feet. They usually give you a massage of your feet, sometimes up your calf, then will moisturize your legs and feet with

a lotion. After all that, they will usually apply a polish to your nails.

Its not ticklish, feels pretty good. Remember to tip your

manicurist, depending on the rate. In my area, a pedicure is

around $20-25 and usually a tip is from $3-5.How should I prepare myself before going to the salon for a pedicure?
your feet get soaked.... massaged... and they talk crap about you in Vietnamese. lol.
they will soften your feet and cleanse the nail area, massage maybe and remove dead cells. Tell them not to cut off cuticles, only to gently push them. It is fun!
just have clean feet, you don't have to get a polish, just the pedicure, it tickles alittle when they scrub, it lasts about 2 weeks, and its very relaxing.
:%26gt; It last for the most-- 1 month but not advicible to get your nails coated for such a long period.. They will get drowned. Moreover, I understand that it is not very cheap for 1 seesion. Think twice before you go.

If you are just going for the softening, cleaning and shaping (for either hands or legs), not for putting all the coatings and flowerings.. then it is advisible. Good for your nails.

For the person like you (do not like to put on even nail polish), just ';dress'; you nails beautifully when needed i mean got any special function as... it is more worthy~*

    After you try it, then you will love it. Have a try ;%26gt;

I'm 20. Went for pedicure once every couple of months. Just for the maintainance, cleaning and shaping as well. Of course they adviced me to put on the basic protective shields :)

    Experience it yourself..

    Answering to your Question: What you should prepare before going to the salon.. ONLY 1 thing : $$. %26amp; that all :%26gt;

    Enjoy youselve*
If you shave your legs do so a day before so you won't be sensitive to all the massage and such. You soak your feet in warm water possibly in a massaging foot bath. Your nails are trimmed/shaped, cuticles pushed back, calouses removed (best with a file and not the razor thing some places use), some scrubs may also be used to exfolitate your skin and then a massage. I would recommend that you try a color on your toes, you may like the look. There are so many to choose and if the weather is nice where you live they look great in sandals! Wear comfortable clothes and pants should be easy to roll up to just below your knees. I don't think they are ticklish but then again i am not at all ticklish. If you are concerned mention it to the tech and she can be more firm with her touch. I like to go to a salon where I can be understood in my native language but you may not find that important. The whole thing will take up to 1 hr. depending on how many steps they include. Some places go really fast which I don't find relaxing. Polish if allowed to thoroughly dry will last a couple of weeks. From a guys view painted toes are hot is sandals!!! Relax and enjoy. A word of warnign these can be addicting!!!
they are relaxing. i do get ticklish druing them. there is nothing you should do to perpare yourself

What is the penalty for working in a hair salon, washing hair without a permit?

Do both the salon and the worker get penalized, or is it just the employee? My daughter was hired as an ';assistant';. She was supposed to be washing towels, sweeping, etc.. Since she is going to school in the fall for her license, she thought it would be a good way to get a taste of the working environment. Now they have her washing hair, too. Not just when they're in a pinch, but like, it's her job now along with the other stuff. I know by law she's not supposed to do that without 600 hours of school and her permit and was wondering what penalty is involved. Thanks for any help you can offer. What is the penalty for working in a hair salon, washing hair without a permit?

  • If my hair is above my shoulders how much should it cost to get my hair permed stght?and do all salons do it?

ohh dont straighten your hair,, go buy a ceramic straightner. when you get your hair straighten it ruins your hair and its no permanant , as soon as your hair grows then your right back to where you started from. I have curly hair an i use a ceramic straightner so it wont damage my hair. And it hasent! Dont get the cheap ones that arent ceramic. After i was my hair i dry it then use my ceramic straightner on it,,, i like it.. when i got my hair straighten at a salon they burnt it and it was really frizzy. And looked horrible. So go with the ceramic straightner instead.. Just my advice. but is sound advice ! you'll love it,,, i do! take careIf my hair is above my shoulders how much should it cost to get my hair permed stght?and do all salons do it?
Yes, all hair salons perm hair. The cost depends upon how long your hair is, and whether it is single-, or double-rolled. When my hair was as long as yours, I had it double-rolled (my hair is fine), and it cost me $80.00 for the perm. There are many ways to perm it, too. I like the way long hair (one length) looks with a spiral perm.

Have a great day!If my hair is above my shoulders how much should it cost to get my hair permed stght?and do all salons do it?
all salons charge differently .if your hairs only to the shoulders and it only requires one box than it shouls be an okay price but if its really thick and requires two boxes you could get charged double.go in a couple shops and they will give you an idea on a price
    $3.56
You need to edit your question. This depends vastly on where in the country you live.

If you are in NYC it might cost you $300. If you are in Kalamazoo Michigan, it might cost you $45.

Also depends on what type of wrap you get consulted to use.

There are too many variables to properly answer your question.
All salons vary in price, probably $30-$40. But honestly you are just wasting your $. If your hair is natually curly/wavy it wont stay straight for long, maybe a wk. or two and than it'll go back to its original state. Maybe consider getting it chemically relaxed a bit.

Are consultations at hair salons usually free?

YES they are free at least they were for meAre consultations at hair salons usually free?
Having a consultation with the stylist BEFORE you make the appointment is the only way to do any kind of major service, such as a colour, a perm or a haircut. Doing it when you are getting it is too late. The stylist has a set amount of time for you and can't wait until you decide what you want. They have other clients that need them as well.

Usually, this is free, but you may find some salons do charge for this service. You are, after all, taking up their time, and using their professional skills and knowledge. It should be included as part of the whole price package... you may have to pay up front, and have it included when you actually get the service. (it might be viewed as a deposit) You have to ask at the salon.

Try to make these appointments for the consultation during slower periods of the day or week. They have more time to spend with you then, and don't mind doing it when they don't have anything else to do. A newer stylist will probably not charge since they want your business. An established stylist that has a good reputation doesn't need more clients so may charge for this service. Just ask to find out... no harm in asking. Are consultations at hair salons usually free?
Yeah they are i think all of them
yes most are free. they shouldnt charge you atleast!

    i don't know.

salons...like beauty parlors? or saloons...?What did the salons look like during the enlightenment (french) pleaseplease answer. even if your not so sure?
Take a look at any recent version of Jane Austen.

Bingo, you've got the salons (except often smokier, as smoking was all the rage).

The people in them would also look similar to Austen portrayals, except the bodices and lace would be lighter, more low cut and, if not revealing, then suggestive.

There would be a lot more giggling and sniggering going on also.

How do tanning salons work? and can someone suggest one??

ive been wanting to go to a tanning salon and get a tan in a bed/// but the ones ive seen require a member signup etc. so i was wondering if they all do... also can someone reccomend one that doesnt in washington dc... prefferably in NW... oh and also, about how much does it cost? How do tanning salons work? and can someone suggest one??
most salons should have the option of just paying for one time. it is much cheaper in the long run to get a plan if you plan on going frequently.

i pay 100 a month but it is for level two beds. the level one beds i believe are 65. a one time session would be about 9 dollars. How do tanning salons work? and can someone suggest one??
Don't bother, use fake tan. Your only paying to get cancer at tanning places.
Most salons do offer packages but you can usually buy one visit at a time! It's more expensive that way.

I recommend buying a small package because it will take three - four visits to get a base and then you can maintain it once or twice a week. Start slow - ask what type of bulbs they have - uvb or uva or a combination. B is burning!

seriously - unless you tan easily start slow 10 minutes day one to 15 on day two or three depending how one went to 20. WEAR EYE PROTECTION - you'll fry your eyeballs!

Are there any hispanic female run hair care salons in sw florida?

Who cares who runs the place as long as you get good hair care?

I went yesterday to an auto parts supply house and followed a Mexican guy in there. I tried to get in front of him so my wait would be shorter. However, the guy went in and stood in line for a Mexican parts rep when there were 3 white guys ready to take an order. He spoke perfect English. If we are going to remove racism, why do we act that way? I went to the white guy even though there were a couple black guys there. I just wanted my part! COME ON GUYS.Are there any hispanic female run hair care salons in sw florida?

Ladies, do those spray tans in salons look good or does it look really fake?

i want to be healthy tan looking but I do not want to lay out in the sun. I wanted to know if I should get a spray tan in a salon but im worried it will look bad when it begins to fade....Ladies, do those spray tans in salons look good or does it look really fake?
Unfortunately it does not look very good. I saw a woman the other day and her skin looked orange. She was otherwise attractive.

I hope the technology or technique improves with time. Tanning booths and laying in the sun for the purposes of tanning is unhealthy.

I work in health care and I see the effects of long term damage caused by the sun. It is accumulative over a life time and it is a sad sight to see.Ladies, do those spray tans in salons look good or does it look really fake?
    I'd like to know too...
I think they look awful and orange.

Maybe if you were willing to pay a really upscale salon it may turn out well?
alright here is the scoop. the more expensive it is chance are the better it looks. but you really need to research were you want to go before you get you ';tan';. seriously., sometimes it can look REALLY bad.
i would also like to know...lots of people get them..i think it would look ok as long as u werent TOO dark like some people get..

I have heard a lot of people say they like the tanning lotions that give you a tan gradually...im not sure which ones work the best

and ya know what....i would rather be pale than to have skin cancer so good for you for not wantin to go bake yourself in the sun
I think it looks preatty fake.
My advice is just don't get a spray tan because it looks bad when it starts to fade. I would personally just go to a tanning bed.
It looks tacky, really fake. Especially when it starts to fade. I would suggest going to a tanning bed.
It looks good until it starts to wear off then it just makes you look dirty. I hated it and would not recommend it.
Its so tacky because you can tell if its fake or not!!!
Spray tans have come a long way, and provided you keep your skin moisturised it will look very natural and make you look much healthier.
it looks fake, this popular girl got a fake tan and EVERYONE made fun of her.

remember, beauty should come from nature, not from a can!
It can look natural - it just depends on what level you get. It does tend to fade fairly fast and it will make your skin itch. Personally, I didn't like it too much - too much maintenance and too much of a waste of money. Plus I tend to tan fairly easily, so I stick with nature's method.
they are quick..but tanning looks more natural and lasts longer
It really depends on the person. A person with platinum blonde hair and blue eyes will never look good with a dark tan. however if you are more exotic looking it may look good on you. Mystic tanning doesnt leave the orangey look but one down side is that if you sweat it will start to drip off of you. I once went to six flags over georgia with my bf and we went on one of the water rides and the water made drip marks on my legs from the fake tan! so embarassing
Well I took my friend to get one %26amp; well she thought it looked great but she looked pretty dang orange to me. I wouldn't do it. Use Jergans Natural Glow but a shade darker than you are it works great for me. Take a towel %26amp; rub your knees ankles %26amp; Elbows afterwards though or they will turn orange.
    guys opinion: looks really tacky
well yes but in da future wen your doin dat tan stuff now wen u get older your skin will be damage badly!
You should stay the color God made you. If you had been born with that tan you would probably gone crazy.
it looks fake. always get a real tan if u burn easy put tanning oil on but sprays always look fake.

  • How much would it cost to get a cut and highlight at holiday hair? any cheap salons in Boyertown PA?

Well, I've never been there, but it looks like it's owned by Regis, so probably $30 to $40 to cut, and $50 or more to highlight.
